Lynn Somers atelier (by appointment only)
By placing an order, the customer agrees to be bound by the general conditions.

1. Orders via the webshop 
After your order is made and we received your payment we will start as soon as possible during our opening hours (Ma- Fri 10-6). The delivery time of the products in our webshop will be 3 to 5 weeks starting from our confirmation.

2. Purchase made in the atelier 
When buying a piece directly the collection in the atelier, you can take it home immediately. If small size alterations are due, we will take care of them asap, the jewel will be ready in 1 to 2 weeks. We’ll keep you informed of the process. This means that this jewel is now considered a custom piece. Creating a brand new custom design will take 6 weeks to finish.

3. Price estimates of custom designs 
After discussing the details of a custom design in the atelier or digitally you will receive our estimate by e-mail. After you confirm the order you will receive the down payment invoice. This amount is 50% of the total price. If a price is estimated and not firm, we will give you an accurate account of which factors will influence the final price. Price estimates are based on the cost price factors at the time of purchase/ commission like the material costs, VAT, etc. If after this date one or more of the cost price factors rise, we are entitled to raise the agreed upon price. All estimates include 21% VAT if not specified otherwise (in case of export outside of the EU).

4. Payments 
In the webshop you can pay via iDEAL or with credit card. In the atelier you can pay via iDEAL. Paying ahead via bank transfer is also possible. All prices include 21% VAT.

5. Shipping 
Your online purchase will be send out by courier. You’ll receive a track & trace link once the package leaves the atelier. Sending your order within The Netherlands will cost €8. Contact us for shipping prices outside of The Netherlands. The package is safely insured via our insurance.

6. Delivery times 
The delivery time will differ per item. Jewellery in the collection that is in stock can be send out in 3 to 5 working days after the payment is received. If a ring or necklace needs a small size change, it will take about 1 to 2 weeks to ship it out. We’ll keep you informed of the process.

Call or e-mail us to check this if you have strict delivery date, in case of a birthday or a planned engagement.

Custom orders will take up to 6 weeks to finish before the shipping.

7. Cancelling
If you want to change or cancel a webshop order, you will have to do so asap after the purchase. You can reach us by e-mail (info@lynnsomers.nl) or by phone (0617174598). The changing or cancelling of your purchase can only be done before it is send out.

8. Exchanges and Returns 
We love to see you happy with your order! We offer you the possibility to return or exchange within 14 days of your order's arrival, the item must be returned to us unworn, in perfect condition and in the original packaging. After these 14 days we are not able to take back any jewelry. We are unable to accept returns on made to order jewelry and solid gold jewelry.

If you are unhappy with the end result, please contact us within 2 weeks. We’ll work on a fitting solution or a possible adaptation together. There might be costs involved, but we’ll let you know beforehand.

Should you decide to send out the package yourself, you are responsible in case of transport damage to the jewel or loss of the package.

9. Warranty terms 
All jewelry is made to the highest quality. Should something go wrong, please contact us immediately via e-mail or phone. We’ll work on a solution. If this isn’t part of the guarantee, there might be costs involved, but we’ll let you know beforehand.

All the jewelry has a 6 months guarantee on material or construction faults. But the guarantee on material faults does not apply to jewellery created from your own heirloom gold or silver.

Exempt from guarantee are wear marks, wear to gem stone or diamond settings and breaking or loss of gemstones and diamonds.

Setting for gem stones or diamonds are more perceptive to damage, as they are more fragile. Therefore we advise you to have them checked free of charge yearly, so we can see if the settings are still intact and holding the stone as they should be.

10. Force Majeure 
If we cannot deliver the ordered items on time because of force majeure we are not responsible for damages. Force majeure would be circumstances beyond the influence of Lynn Somers – even if we could have foreseen this – that hinder the finishing or delay the time of delivery of a jewel. Of course we will keep you posted if a commission is delayed or if by unforeseen events we will need to find an alternative solution.


11) Intellectual ownership 
All of the designs, sketches, models, calculations, descriptions, or other delivered goods or agreements created by Lynn Somers and will remain the intellectual ownership of Lynn Somers. Multiplying, revealing or disclosing the before mentioned goods or efforts, without explicit permission, is not allowed.
